Since 2019, cases of syphilis have risen by 91% and in 2022 Arizona ranked 3rd in the nation for congenital syphilis rates. In response to the rise in syphilis and congenital syphilis case in Maricopa County, Maricopa County Department of Public Health has launched a campaign called, “Think Syphilis.” The aim of this campaign is to increase awareness and to encourage everyone to get tested and treated.
